Hey there, it’s just me — Evelyn.
And today, I want to talk about something that’s been heavy on my heart: what it means to trust God… especially when it’s hard.
There are seasons when trusting Him feels natural — when everything is falling into place and the path ahead looks clear. But there are also moments, deep and dark and real, when trusting Him feels like a struggle. When your heart is broken. When the answers don’t come. When you’re just plain tired and you can’t even think straight.
This post is for those moments.
🌾 It Doesn’t Always Feel Easy
I’ve learned that trusting God doesn’t mean it always feels peaceful.
Sometimes it looks like crying while you pray.
Sometimes it’s dragging yourself into His Word when your heart wants to give up.
And sometimes… it’s just whispering “God, help me” when that’s all you can say.
Trust isn’t the absence of fear or pain — it’s choosing Him in the middle of it.
✝️ What Faith Looks Like in the Hard Places
I know what it’s like to trust God from a place of deep pain.
If you’ve read this post about the loss of my daughter, then you know a piece of that story.
In that season, I didn’t feel strong. I didn’t feel brave. I didn’t even feel particularly “spiritual.”
I just felt… broken.
But even in the middle of that heartbreak, I kept coming back to God.
Not because I had all the answers.
Not because I felt full of faith.
But because He was still God. Still good. Still with me.
That’s what trust looks like: showing up anyway, even when it hurts.
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
💛 For the Woman Who’s Trying to Trust
If you’re in a hard place right now — if life feels overwhelming or uncertain — I want you to know that your faith doesn’t have to look perfect to be real.
Trusting God isn’t about always feeling strong. It’s about leaning on the One who is.
Keep holding on. Keep talking to Him. Even when it feels messy. Even when it’s hard.
He hears you. He loves you. And He hasn’t left you — not for one moment.
Blessings in Christ,
Evelyn
